Introduction
The main difference between tourism in Ireland and Spain is of course the weather. This is the factor that influences how the two countries approach their tourism industry :
Ireland
Some of the main reasons people come to Ireland is for its culture. The traditional culture of Ireland is world wide famous. One thing that people enjoy is the entertainment or the fun that Irish people have to offer. For example there is normally great entertainment in pubs. Another thing is that the climate is not very good so the type of holiday you would be going on would definitely not be one for the weather. Although people still do enjoy activities such as fishing, hiking and sight-seeing. Over 100 million people worldwide can claim Irish roots, so they love the notion of coming back to visit their heritage.
Spain
On the other hand Spain has a beautiful warm climate that attracts there people who want to enjoy an outdoor holiday in the sun. Their beaches, pools, fun parks, outdoor cafes, and fiestas draw millions of people each year. Especially families with small children. Nighttime attractions, such as outdoor restaurants and cafes include children much more than in Ireland. People also come to Spain for skiing as Spain has very high mountains where you can get sun and snow.
